The University of Louisiana at Monroe has an ACES program that gives people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to have a true college experience. Enrolling in the program prepares students for success in the workforce; staff will help students develop skills in the following areas:

Bridge to Independence is a U.S. Department of Education-certified program meant to support Nicholls State University students as they go to regular classes. Peer mentors who’ve received training in the school’s College of Education and Behavioral Sciences will assist each student to help them thrive. 3. Baton Rouge Community College – PSE Program
Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) has a program called The Program for Successful Employment (PSE). Through this institution, you or your loved one can participate in a vocational program lasting either 2 or 4 years. 4. LSU of Alexandria – SPERO Program
At Louisiana State University of Alexandria, they have what’s called the Special Program for the Enhancement of Resources for Students with Developmental Disabilities (SPERO). Through the program, people ages 18 to 28 with a developmental disability can audit classes, receive work training, participate in special program classes to learn daily living skills, and more. 5. Louisiana University of Lafayette – LIFE Program
The Learning Is For Everyone (LIFE) program at Southeastern Louisiana University is for young adults living with qualifying intellectual disabilities. The program assists students from several vantage points, including:
